Huntleigh Home and Apartments excited to welcome back Nurse Anna

Huntleigh Home’s new manager, Anna Roberts.

The new manager at Enliven’s Huntleigh Home and Apartments is familiar with the home and many of the staff.

Anna Roberts started as manager earlier this month, coming from her clinical nurse manager job at Enliven’s Woburn Home and Apartments in Lower Hutt.

Anna has previously worked at Huntleigh Home, as a first year of practice nurse in 2010 and again in 2018 as clinical nurse manager.

She says she’s excited to work with the team at Huntleigh Home again, many of which she has worked with in the past.

“I’ve known some of the team for a long time so I know they have huge influence in whatever I do, and I appreciate their huge contribution to the team,” she says.

Enliven operations manager Suzanne Simpson says she is delighted to have Anna in the role.

“Anna is passionate about aged care and will be a great addition to the team at Huntleigh Home.”

Anna says she is also looking forward to strengthening Huntleigh Home’s connections with the Karori community.

“Having a meaningful connection to the community is so important to the elders of Huntleigh Home so I really want to make sure that we take every opportunity to support that,” she says.

On Tuesday, 31 March, the home will hold a community barbecue to coincide with Neighbours Day Aotearoa.

The event will run from 1.30-3.30pm in the carpark between the Huntleigh Apartments and the rest home and will include live music, ice cream, a coffee cart, sausage sizzle and cold drinks.

Huntleigh Home offers rest home and hospital care, short-term respite, health recovery care and a day programme. To learn more about the home call 04 464 2020.
